Hokie Pokie to the power of 150

As the appointed DJ for Lucy's 5th birthday, I turned to Rhapsody, the subscription music service I still pay for each month and largely underuse. I discovered there were 150 versions of the Hokie Pokie and they were all supposedly bad, at least Amy couldn't decide on an appropriate number. In preparing the playlist, I could only bear to listen to the Hokie Pokie once. And it sounded good enough to me, still painful to listen to but probably okay for a 5 year-old's party. I threw in some other kid's favorites but ended up with only about 5 songs total.

It didn't matter because I simply turned on piano jazz and no child noticed or complained. I happily talked with other parents, the children were all contented and well behaved. At the end I played a Wiggles CD and the party finished in smiles not tears.
